The Symphony Of Baseball
The symphony of baseball is cruel and unforgiving at some points, while joyous and wonderful in others. A win is a win, a loss is a loss. An ejection is an ejection, like them or not. The battle is won, and (obviously) lost . Home field advantage is nothing, as anyone can have an advantage at any given point. Fans cheer, fans cry. Teams win, teams whine. The ball is thrown, the ball is dropped. Calls are blown, right or wrong. Teams come out on top because of good ball-playing or bad calls....but someone always wins. This symphony is cruel tonight...as is most nights. The symphony of baseball plays on and on without an end. One team always comes victorious, but it’s not always the good guys. The night of July 25th was a sour note for the Spirit, a game that went 10innings with a Spirit loss. That game, however, gave Worcester a special message....Never Count Us Out! We have the fire and genius of the late composer in Beethoven and the athletic skills of many great players. We keep playing this symphony night after night, and will keep playing. The symphony of baseball is cruel and unforgiving at some points, while joyous and wonderful in others.......
