Nice Job!
If the Spirit are so concerned about people being able to go to Fraser Field, why are the playoffs being broadcast live?
I think broadcasting the Spirit AT ALL has backfired and allowed people to stay home and watch for free, saving the $6 ticket price.
All over Lynn, people are laughing about how they gets it fo free
And why do 3,000+ people watch a game with post-game fireworks IN the stadium when they could save money by just watching by Big Lots or somewhere close like that??
I know it's not the best example....and anyways there's conflicts for some people.
We're not yet on Verison or on the dish. so a large amoutn fo fans can't watch the games.
AND sometimes the broadcasts come through messed up....and we ourselves sometimes mess up.
SO to be a fan and either not be able to get it or get it but have it be sort-of crappy....I doubt you'd say "I won't spend $6 to go see a team that's more exciting in person."
BUT then again it is late so this argument may sound stupid.....as i am amkign it so this ad can be shown on the videoboard the next two days =]
There's just something inherently f_cked up about a schoolboy game (read: amateur) taking precedence over a professional sporting event.
Does anyone think this would happen in Brockton? Last I checked, they have a stronger interest in football, not to mention slightly better teams. Yet somehow, I think they'd play the game on Saturday morning or Friday afternoon to accommodate the Rox.
They just said over the radio that Games 3-5 will be in Lynn?!
PS: I was referring to the Finals
Maybe Brent was confused about what I meant about "the week after that?" That was the question I asked after he confirmed that they weren't hosting the deciding game in Round 1
Wouldn't there be HS football next week too? unless both Lynn teams are out of town...
Lynn Classical is supposed to be home both weeks, but is playing St. Mary's this Friday; Lynn English is playing on the road both weeks (Beverly, Danvers)
perhaps they would then have time to reschedule? idk.... it sounds like the same problems would exist.
I'm working it via e-mail to see if I get any answers. This is so bizarre - my basic beef still remains: why would an schoolboy game take precedence over a professional sporting event?
My Grandma let me start an Alex Trezza Fan Blog. I've been working on it since I got home from the game today. Here it is

Nice goin' Victoria, keep up the good work!!.
See Ya' on the Blog!
Most of those slugs in Lynn would stay home for $3, if they thought they could watch for free and get an xtra rock for the pipe. We'rte not talkin' about the regular family folks out there or the quality of the coverage daveCo; try not to take it personally.
i'm pissing my pants again ROFL
Brent's confirmed that, in fact, the Spirit will host Games 3-5 on Septebmer 13-15 if the Spirit are in the Finals.
He also explained that this was finalized (no pun intended) on Sunday, so when I called the front office on Saturday, the information I was given was correct at the time.
St. Nick is back on my X-Mas card list. I'm presuming that the friday night football game -- as it should be -- would be played at a different time.
Thank you, Spirit!
NOW, I think we are destined to win it all; being a big believer in Karma and the laws of attraction and all... .
Spark-em-up
