Good and bad news

-There's a chance that by the end of this week, the Spirit's lead in the 2nd half could be larger than the Red Sox lead in the AL East. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

-We have moved into sole possession of first place in the overall standings -> Good.

-If the season ended today, we would play Quebec in the playoffs -> Not so good.

-The Spirit are 5-2 in Brockton this year. This is when I wish the CanAm League left up old scores and statistics... later on this week if I have more time, I will look through Spirit archives to see if this the best record the Spirit have ever had at Campanelli (keeping in mind that we have two more games to play down there next week).

We are only a game back of New Jersey in the overall standings! We have a very good chance of winning another regular-season championship!!!!!!
