Old Friend Rob Fischer has been acquired by the SPIRIT for the reversionary rights to Ryan Bicondoa and a player to be named later it was announced today.
This is certainly good news for the intermittently anemic SPIRIT offense, as well as aiming a little higher for defensive excellence.
This move also will undoubtedly raise many ??'s as to who will play where in the OF, who will be that "player to be nemed later", as well as the seemingly neccessary change in the batting order.
1. Who will play in Center?. B.J. has done a GREAT job in the 8 position for us so far this year.
2. Who will be packing it up as compensation?.
3. Will this immediately affect the DH position, or allow somehow for Davilla to return to 1st base where he is obviously more comfortable?.
As questions arise, it will be fun to see how it unfolds. Welcome back Rob!!.

what does it mean for the revisionary rights to Ryan Bicondoa? Does this mean that if Bicondoa were to get released in the offseason that NS couldn't sign him again?
I believe that is correct. Off-season or not, someone else now has first "right" to sign him.
WOW,THIS IS AMAZING NEWS! We had to give up Bic's reversionary rights....big deal. I doubt he'd be released....him & Pavlic will kick some major ass for the Cubs. With Fischer's trade I say we give them Morgan Brown.
Now switching stuff around would be difficult or simple,I came up with two scenarios. The first is to but Fischer in center,BJ Weed at third,Vic back at first and Brooks back at DH. The second one has the same as the first but with Weed at second and Bethal at third (if he could play it). Try one of these for a series and see how it works. It should because we had Weed at second for a while and I think him or Bethal may be a little bit of an upgrade over Vic at third.....sorry man,you belong at first. If it works then this would be great. If it doesn't,the I can;t be blamed....I'm not a manager :-p
