2-1 lead!

The Spirit won game three of the playoff series 5-2 in Quebec. I didn't listen to the game because people posted spoilers on the blog.

Joey Siak came out of the 'pen and pitched the last six to nail down the win.

It'll be Bryan Morse tomorrow at 1 PM for game 4 as the Spirit look to advance to the championship series against the *gulp* Brockton Rox, who secured their spot with a 2-1 win over New Haven.

If a game 5 is needed (let's hope not) it'll be at 5 PM and will probably feature Shawn McNamara on the hill.

hey joe -- everything i see says that the game starts at five -- including mr leahy on the spirit website. what's the deal?

i think that mcnamra will pitch today. if we win we get morse on regular rest either in game 5 or game 1 of the finals.

fun is good.

my bad -- if we win it will be game 1 of the finals but either way we get morse on his normal rest.

does anyone really feel bad for fat tony stewart???? i wanted either him or burton out so i'm ok with it. this is the year of the old guy -- mark martin.

It's confusing....yesterday the Spirit site said today's game 4 would start at 1 and game 5,if needed,at 5. NOW it's the way you're saying./......this is kind of confusing,but game 4 DOES begin at 5--so now noone's confused.

I would've thought that McNamara would've started today too,but I was talking to Joe and he said "Don't think ahead, that's a recipe for disaster". He may be right there. We want to win this game and not have to play another one before we face Broctkton,so Morse is the best pitcher for this situation right now.

Brockton scares me though with their rotation. HOWEVER,ours is pretty damn good too and our offense has picked up the past couple days. If we can keep up this then I think we have a legit chance of winning it all.

PS: I WANNA GO TO BROCKTON FOR A GAME! It may be a death wish, but I want to go for at least one playoff game there.

Thanks, but I thought you said you didn't have access to a computer up there. :-p Thanks for the clarification, but I thought I said it started at 5 clear enough myself while explaining why Joe was confused about the start time......sucks for me though,I won't be able to listen to the game today,I'm filming 2 games tonight. :-[

PS: WOOOoooooooooooo.....LET'S GO SPIRIT!

Obviously we hope its not necessary, but when would game 5 be?

If Game 5 needs to take place the Spirit will be staying another day in Quebec and playing on Monday.

In case anybody was wondering, I agree that sending Morse to the hill is the right call; keep 'em on his regular turn and win today with your best available.

They would??? WTF!

All the more reason to root hard for us to win this one!!!!!

Like Wooten has it in the box score, its 2-0 Spirit.

Now in the bottom of 6th Morse is replaced by Robinson in Pitching, Quebec had bases loaded and picked off Shimizu!

Jack Suslak said...

Crap its now 4-2 Quebec, let Wooden try to keep track of all that mess.

Jack Suslak said...

Still 4-2 after 7 complete innings, Wooden u can still post those inning recaps.
