Pre-Game Post: Spirit @ Pride, Thursday, May 24

Can-Am First Half Game 1/48

North Shore Spirit (33-13 in 2006 2nd Half) @
Nashua Pride (23-23 in 2006 2nd Half)

7:05 PM at Holman Stadium, Nashua, NH

Season Series:
0-0

Pitchers:
Bryan Morse (11-5, 2.16 w/ Spirit in 2006) vs. Tim Bausher (4-3, 4.91 w/ PawSox in 2006)

Weather:
It's 83 and completely clear right now in Nashua. There is 0% chance of precipitaiton for the game. According to weather.com, gametime temperature will be 82 degrees and at 10 PM, it will be 75. Nice.

Notes:
Well, it's the first game of the season, so it's hard to know what to expect. In last year's opener, the Pride thrashed the Spirit, and we all saw how that worked out for Nashua ;). The pitching matchup tonight is very intriguing - Tim Bausher should be a very good pitcher in this league after spending the past two seasons with the Pawtucket Red Sox. Meanwhile, we all know how good Morse is.

According to a commenter, Ryan Bicondoa is coming back to the Spirit, but I haven't heard that from any other sources.

Out of Town:

Worcester (Alex Pena) at Quebec (Jorge Perez) – 7:05 PM
New Jersey (Isaac Pavlik) at Sussex (Ryan Dittfurth) – 7:05 PM
Grays (Beau Dannemiller) at Atlantic City (JC Huguet) – 7:05 PM

Info:

For those of you not going to the game, it will be broadcast on 1510 the Zone live and on the internet. Also, feel free to join the Chat Room to discuss the game.

Pre-Game Questions to Ponder:

1. So, when you see El Guapo, what are you going to do?

2. Who else wants to chant Bring Back Jimmy Hurst?

And be sure to tell me if this Bicondoa thing is confirmed. I'd love to see Bic back in a spirit uni.

I heard Nick reference Bic on the Webcast; that we need him to return to form and for the sticks to come through and we'll be good.
Sounds good!!.
