Spirit win 4-2

North Shore has taken 3 of 4 from the Nashua Pride, winning today 4-2.

Chris Farley, making his return from an injury-riddled '06 campaign, got the win with 5 1/3 solid innings pitched.

Kevin Fitzgerald got the save in an easy ninth to recover from last night, when he blew a save opportunity.

The Spirit got their first runs on a 2-RBI single by Brad Rea in the first. After Nashua narrowed the gap to 2-1, the Spirit put it away in the sixth as Rob Fischer and Mike Torres snagged RBIs to make it 4-1. Nashua got a HR off of Robinson in the 8th but it was too little, too late.

I didn't listen to the game until the 9th so I don't have many details, but it sounds like another solid overall performance by the team--- even the game they lost was a good game.

Also, 4 games into it, it appears that Nashua is also much improved... but the Spirit are a step ahead.

North Shore now has a few days off until Wednesday's home opener against the Grays.

That twerp Jimmie Johnson just wrecked a bunch of cars -- now he'll probably win. BUT -- watch out for that 01 car -- the cagey veteran is saving his best for later.
