Signed OF Carlos Rodriguez, RHP Matt Bishop, LHP Joey Siak, RHP Chris Farley, LHP Bryan Morse, RHP Kevin Fitzgerald, RHP Dennis Robinson and RHP Shawn McNamara. Spirit placed Bishop, Siak and Farley on the Inactive List.

So 4 pitchers are crossed off the list meaning just two more players are going to be cut from the roster. Putting Bishop, Siak and Farley on the IL lets the Spirit keep a few more players on the roster until it is their turn to pitch.

Alvarez is really no surprise after having a terrible season for Sussex then an awful outing against Brockton.
