Spirit swept in New Haven. WTF?
If I recall correctly the Spirit got 3 runs on 11 hits while the Cutters got 6 runs on 5 hits.....
Dear 2007 season,
stop being so frustrating :O
Love,
Spirit fans everywhere

Wow,just.....wow
Spirit lost 2 of 3, Joe, so let's focus on the longer term: playing consistent winning baseball and staying within the top four. Besides, it could be worse...
Thanks, Wooden, for the links to Howard Wasserman's legal points on "God Bless America." (For the record, I can't imagine Spirit staff physically restraining me from my 7th-inning strolls out back. It is as true as when Bill Lee wrote "The Wrong Stuff" that the Yankees personify elitism and authoritarianism. Sorry, Willy.)
I tuned in Leahy for the 10-inning game 1 last night. His redundancy (describing the play, then describing the scoring) made it easy to keep a scorecard.
First the Pride, then the Spirit, for whom local commentators describe a fleeting possibility of grabbing the first-half title with a burst of excellence. Only to watch them choke.
