Tonight's 7:05 pm game was postponed to tomorrow, Thursday, July 5th, in a doubleheader starting at 5:05 pm.
The scheduled start time came and went with the rain coming down, with sometimes torrential downpours. At around 8:30 pm, someone apparently asked Vic DaVilla if they could be ready in twenty minutes. The lights came on, the grounds crew started to squeegie the tarp, and the players all started warming up on the field, until the cancellation was finally announced.
There were no more than 30 people in the stands at any given time. No word yet on how many of those people actually have a life.
