AHH Nilson Teilon is in the lineup!!! And the Spirit have added a pitcher, Luis Arroyo, who has 3 years of Atlantic League experience and was a United League all star this year. He'll be pitching Wednesday.

my radio isn't working ahhhh...has Leahy said anything about D-Rob
No word about D-Rob yet - nobody listed as injured, so no "Hellenic Flu" - new pitcher, Luis Arroyo
Luis Arroyo was in the United League with Amarillo, but my first Googling couldn't uncover any stats. I'll look again.
My radio is working now.
YESSSSSs @ Teilon being in the lineup!!!!
Scratch that - he was on the Laredo Broncos - & he made the allstar team. Stats forthcoming
Arroyo just finished up pitching for Laredo in the United League. 32 years old. Lefty. 6-0, 175.
Went 8-4 w/ 3.55 ERA this year. Most of his career, he's been a reliever. Pitched in Atlantic League 2004-2006.

3.55 ERA

124.1 IP
126 H
58 R/49 ER
128 K/63 BB
.259 avg against
Not bad at all, but who knows how these numbers translate
Arroyo's pitching against Bennett on Wednesday.
The fact that he was in the Atlantic League for three years makes me feel much better.
Pavlik strikes out the side. okie doke
Arroyo had the 6th best ERA in what was clearly a hitter's league (4.06 was the leading team ERA, worst hitting team hit .268)
Meanwhile, I'm a big Bryan Morse fan again tonight as he takes on Les Capis up north.
Teilon is 27 years old....ish.
Went 6 or more innings in 17 of 18 starts, allowed 3 runs or less in 10 of those outings. Struck out 128 in 124.1 innings. Did I mention he's lefthanded?
307? Did Josue lose weight?
Josue Lopez with an RBI groundout. Teilon scores after walking to lead off the inning. 1-0
HOME RUN JOHN WELCH!!! His 3rd home run of the season....which also happens to be his 3rd home run in the past 5 games :D Perez scores on the play. 3-0 Spirit
Quote of the Day:
"I'm left-handed and I'm breathing, so I know there's a pitching job for me somewhere."
-Dave Mccarty
5-0 Red Sox!! F-U Kazmir :D
Worcester's up 2-0 over Atlantic City... Yount out on called strikes, SSDL
Leahy just confirmed that Kelly will be back in Brockton in 2008 (i.e. Rox retain his rights)
That is just fraudulent IMO. Trades like that should not be allowed.
Are you listening Uncle Miles?
come on Josue
If the Jackals weren't coughing up another player, I might agree. I've never liked player rentals, but usually they've been interleague, not intraleague.
Josue Lopez with an RBI fielder's choice, scoring Perez.
Wait, it's 4-1? I thought it was 4-0. Did something happen in the 5 minutes i was away or is Leahy wrong?
NJ scored a run in the bottom of the 3rd. RBI groundout, I think.
Rox are down 3-0 in quebec, but they have a threat brewing in the 4th.
The Spirit go down in order in the 5th...this game is flying - you'd think it were 0-0, not 4-2, at this pace.
Meanwhile, Brockton scores 2 up north in the top of the 4th. 3-2 Quebec.
Anddd Worcester goes up 5-1 on Atlantic City with 3 more in the 4th inning. Nice. Fellow Massholes can help us out tonight.
Sussex leads New Haven 2-0 which is also good. The Pride are thumping the Grays 8-0....7 in the top of the 3rd, which is still going on
Worcester's now up 6-1, the Rox are now down 3-2
mike lowell is the red sox mvp right now. 6-0 boston.
3 rbi for mikey.
Kuclick RBI triple to CF, scores a run...4-2 Spirit
Kuklick*
that's a tough one to spell.
Zach Smithlin with an RBI single...Kuklick scores...4-3
and LHP Brandon Martin is warming up in the 'pen for the Spirit.
It's my fault for saying the game was breezing by.
TEILON with a nice catch to end the inning.
Oh man, I'm so pumped to see him back at Fraser on Friday night.
Your punishment: You must read Curt Schilling's blog and then edit for clarity.
AHHH not that
Brockton has tied it 3-3
Another big spot for my man ho-sway
nothin'
Ah, don't worry...Bumbles bounce!
NICE. Hopefully Morse can hold down les Capis.
Brandon Martin in to pitch for the Spirit here in the 6th.
fudge...wilton veras rbi double ties the game...the only good news, he is thrown out trying to reach 3rd
well, it's a 3-inning game now
Jackals go to the pen: Justin Garza
The Rox are now up 5-3
urgh...no runs in the 7th
Let's try this again - it's a 2-inning game now
Torres safe at first to start the inning. EY, OH, let's go
he reached on an error by sandy madera :D
Teilon lines in to a double play to end the inning........ :(
Advantage: Jackals
Deuce.
Well, Martin has settled nicely.
So, what's the number for Mobile Law, again?
i'll tell you, if you tell me some info about sylvan street grille...or tell me who has been nick lopardo's personal landscaper
New pitcher for the Jackals - Kyle George
former Elmira Pioneers legend
What if I offer you a Dunkin' Donuts Smoothie?
Can you get one after listening to another exciting North Shore Spirit victory?
Sure, it's only 5 miles to the nearest one here -- quite a change from, say, two on Boston St. 500 yards apart.
Trezza battles and battles and battles and doubles.
Please, that's nothing -- in revere there is a Dunkin Donuts literally across the street from another Dunkin' Donuts
also, there is another dunkin donuts further down that street.
drage warming up in the pen.
BIG spot for a BIG man, come on JOSUEEEEEEEEEe
JOSUE, JOSUE JOSUE JOSUE, JOSUE, JOSUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! 2 RUN HOMER DEEEP AND GOOOOOOOOONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6-4!!!
JOSUE! JOSUE! JOSUE! GET THAT MAN HIS POST-GAME SPREAD!
So, Drage is coming in.
Don't look so excited

Can somebody shut up Bugle Boy?
i don't trust Drage at all. for the record.
FUCK YEAH, THANK YOU CALFAPIETRA THANK YOU
Strike 'em out, Throw 'em out double play!
Rodriguez on 3rd with 2 out and Mihalics up...
Yount striking out...again: Same Shit, Different League (.030 BA, 9K's in 13 games for Frederick)
Woohoooooooo!!
huge.
thank you, come again
I am officially 2 for 2 on roster calls first french then robinson....im better than the item
Item right stori gud
Magic #s are now 6 (WC) and 11 (2H), if Worcester rallies and Brockton holds on, 5 and 10.
DALEY ITEMS!
Credit given, but being better than the Item is an awfully low bar to clear.
I'm Steve Krause. Tonight, I'm going to pound out everything I know about local sports and still fit it into a 750-word column.
[side-splitting laughter]
