It starts tonight.
Let's go Wake.
P.S.: Don't go to the Spirit website unless you want to get upset.
News from GlobeNorth:
AGREEMENT REACHED - Lynn and the North Shore Spirit baseball team have reached an agreement for the city to pay $74,660 for 1,339 seats the team installed at Fraser Field. The professional baseball team, which folded last month, installed them at a cost of $200 per seat as part of a multimillion-dollar upgrade to the city-owned park. The city will pay $60 per seat for 1,197 flip-up seats, and $20 per seat for 142 fixed seats. A five-year lease signed between the Spirit and the city gave the team the right to remove any fixtures added to the ballpark. The Spirit has removed the video scoreboard, modular buildings used as team offices, and locker rooms, City Solicitor Michael Barry said. - Kathy McCabe
Also, from the Nashua Telegraph:
-Nashua will announce whether or not they are returning on Oct. 25.
-According to 'league sources,' one other un-named CanAm League team is in jeopardy of folding.

The seats were reported in The Item today too. The playground was donated to a school in peabody & the scoreboard went to Nick's alma mater.

I'd like to see a picture of the scoreboard & playground in their new locations.
Anyone else surprised that Jacoby isn't in the lineup tonight?
NHCC maybe?

It's either NH or sussex. And sussex's attendance wasn't that bad this year.

Game 3 World Series Party
We hope the Sox make the series but even if the unthinkable happens, Victoria wants to have a World Series Game 3 party anyway. She said if the Sox aren't in it that she'll cheer for the Rockies since they did give Trezza a shot last season. Saturday, Oct. 27 starting at 6 p.m. Just RSVP & let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the address- we're about a mile from Fraser Field. Please spread the word to Cathy, Jordan & others you think are interested in coming. I would appreciate a RSVP so I have some type of head count for food. My offer still stands to pick anyone up at the communter rail station in Swampscott and bring them here.
Deb & Victoria
