REMATCH TONIGHT

Tonight the North Shore Spirit are in Little Falls, NJ to take on the New Jersey Jackals for the first time since last year's Northeast League Championship Series, Sept. 14-20, 2004, a series won by the Jackals 3-2.. we all know the story, it's not worth repeating.

But tonight is no night to dwell on the past or be focused on revenge. Tonight the Spirit need to focus on continuing their recent roll, as they have taken 4 out of their last 5 since the big rally last Wednesday against Brockton- and could easily have taken all 5. Wayne Hedden gets the ball for the Spirit tonight, and essentially it's up to him to hold the fort and give a decent start and eat up some innings for the Spirit, and give them a chance to win. With a nightmare stretch of games coming up, including 6 in 3 days from Thursday 'til Saturday, it's up to the Spirit to hang in there and give themselves a chance at running down Quebec for the first half North Division title. The Spirit currently are 14-12 and 5 games back of Quebec, who is idle tonight.

So it's Hedden for the Spirit vs Orloski for the Jackals- tonight at 7:05 PM, the first of a three-game series.
