The Spirit lost 5-2 tonight @ Nashua, meaning they'll (at best) lose 2 of 3 vs. the Pride. That's the bad news.
There's some good, interesting news tonight, though: The Spirit have re-acquired CF Rob Fischer from St. Paul. This guy is an AMAZING player and will certainly boost the Spirit down the stretch.
I'm not going to complain about having Fischer, but I will point out two things that I found odd:
1. OF was a position of strength for the Spirit already
2. They traded the reversionary rights of Ryan Bicondoa for him (so we'd best hope Bicondoa doesn't come back)
It seems to me like we should have used Bic's reversionary rights to get a pitcher, if anything at all.
Still, Rob Fischer is probably one of my 2 or 3 favorite Spirit players of all time- that guy is the man. I look forward to seeing him suit up.
