Roster Moves

The North Shore Spirit today announced the release of OF Garrett Weir.
With an apparent abundance of outfielders the SPIRIT have made what appears to be a "first move" in bolstering the team.
Weir's stay with the SPIRIT comes to an end with no real suprise as perhaps some of his recent antics had not left him in good staid with the SPIRIT brass. The only suprise I see is that he wasn't, or couldn't be traded for other talent.

What will be the next move?.

Who can accurately predict the next "big suprise" trade or acquisition?.

Let's have some fun with it shall we?.

He (or she) who posts the next trade or acquisition will win Tickets ( for two ) to the whole series vs. New Haven on the 15th-17th of August.
I know these are road games, however we will need to have a few representatives in West Haven.

Tickets DO NOT include transportation or lodging, and I (because someone has to) will be the sole judge as to what constitues an accurate prediction.

Have some fun!. Let's hear those predictions!!.

Here we go SPIRIT!!

That'd be a dumb move, to trade BJ. We have 4 OF now. Perfect.

my prediction:
a trade to land Jeremy Sugarman

WAIT scratch that, the next move will be to cut De Vries

Was Garrett having a good year or not? I know last year he had a good year but wasn't very well liked. And he really didn't know how to act like a professional from the games I saw.

he was hitting like .270 if I remember correctly. he was solid. i'm not sure this is a great move, attitude problems or not.

Idea: with the Spirit in the market for a leadoff hitter, and Sussex falling out of the race, could the Spirit potentially try to get Agramonte?

NSS make a minor deal to land David Ortiz to fill their DH void.

I've never seen a NSS game before, but will be in New Haven with Joe. I'm sure I'll learn more about the team as i go along.
