Spirit Lose, DeVries Still Cannot Hustle (BY ERIC R.)

Me, Dave, and Alan took yet another trip to Nashua to see the Spirit take on the Pride at Historic Holman Stadium. Pitching for the Spirit was Jared Trout, who was 2-3 with a 4.41 ERA. Pitching for the Pride was Vince Davis, a lefty, who had a 3-3 record with a 3.62 ERA.
In the top of the first, Garrett Weir struck out swinging, BJ Weed grounded out 6-3, and Vic Davilla struck out swinging.

In the bottom of the first, Tom Creighton grounded out to 3 (unassisted). Sean Dobson then doubled and Jayson Bass scored Dobson with an RBI single. The next batter, Larry Bethea, grounded into a 6-3 double play. 1-0 Nashua leads.
