Grays: Traded C/INF Mike Torres to North Shore in exchange for OF Shaun Lehmann, LHP Craig Snipp, and future considerations.
I sure as HELL hope this isn't the promised "solution" to our catcher problem. URGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
But in case I haven't made my opinion on this pickup clear enough already:

Dave - You're killing me. Didn't you read my post about Perez -- you had asked about him sounding familiar.
Here's what I wrote:
Perez was in camp in 2004 and played well, but was probably let go because he was either a veteran or an LS-5.
"While he's a local product, he hit .290+ in his two seasons with Newark (2004-2005). It appears that he was hurt and missed the 2006 season."
I saw him play with Newark in Nashua in 2005 and recall him showing some decent leather that day.
i only skimed through the article on the spirit site and forgot his name. it was late so i was a lil sleepy when i made my post. my bad :-p
Soo, let's get this straight... Perez is the new SS = Rowan's gone. Trezza is now a Rockie. Vic retired...for how long, who knows. Rumor has it Brooks is gone and Wishy is a Tornado. Who's left that can hit? Fischer?
