OUCH

Well, it's way too early in the season to panic or anything like that, but... wow... 'tis never a good sign to get SWEPT BY THE GRAYS. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm too distraught to even write a game recap--- I'll just say this:

Matt Bishop was victimized by poor defense and no run support as the Spirit lost 2-1 in game 1 of the doubleheader. [POTG: Bishop] Shawn McNamara was not too impressive in game 2, only lasting 3 innings as the Spirit silentely puttered along to a 5-0 loss, making the series run total 13-2 Grays... ouch. [Player of the game: Nobody]

Also, DAY 2 RECAP:

PA Announcer: Bad
Stadium Music: Repetitive
Game Presentation: Boring
Atmosphere: Nonexistant
Spirit Bats: MIA

A performance like this must have Vic Davilla thinking about taking a few swings in BP tomorrow... just for fun.

Somewhere out there, Nick Lopardo, wherever he is, is probably chugging vodka out of the bottle. And somewhere else out there, John Kennedy, still in uniform from his day as a Wal-Mart Greeter, is laughing devilishly.

Off to Atlantic City tomorrow.

Let's turn it 'round... kay?

Here's Jonathan's Post-Game Comment on CanAm TV:
