On-Base Percentage Plus Slugging. To put this in perspective, the top 5 OPS guys in the MLB right now are:
1. A-Rod, 1.060 2. Bonds, 1.050 3. Ordonez, 1.036 4. C. Pena, 1.027 5. C. Jones, 1.012 (Ortiz is 1.001)
It's a little tough to get used to, but generally speaking a decent player starts at about .800, a good player is about .900, a great player is above 1.000.

Please pardon my brain-cramp......

Some people divide OPS in their head by three:
1. ARod .353
2. Bonds .350
3. Ordonez .345
4. Pena .342
5. Jones .337
I personally prefer OBP to OPS because power generally follows a good eye, but it does help equalize the extremes.
