Spirit win 4-1!

Because of the Spirit-Brockton pseudorivalry, everything feels a tad bigger, but let's not lose sight of the fact that Brockton is a BAD TEAM. Worse than the Grays, even. We should win 3 out of 4 in this series - no question.

Tonight was a great bounceback after yesterday's trouncing at Campanelli. Joey Siak and Mike McTamney battled it out in a tremendous pitchers duel, keeping the score 1-1 until the 7th inning when Josue "Of All People" Lopez ripped a 2-run homer to give the Spirit a 3-1 lead. They added an insurance run in the top of the 9th and Derek Drage closed out the Rox in the bottom half to earn the save.

After giving up a leadoff HR to Joe Hough, Siak retired the next 13 men consecutively. An excellent performance all around.

The scene shifts to Fraser tomorrow night - be there or be square.

File under "WTF?!?!":
Sussex has won two games in a row against the 1st-place Jackals,16-7 & 7-0.

In two games Sussex, the worst team in the league, has outscored New Jersey, the best team in the league,23-7. Did these teams trade places or something??
