The more things change -

Oh, those Cubs. Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the 9th, the Cubs' new Japanese sensation, Fukodame, smashed a game-tying, 3-run homer off of Eric Gagne (yes, that Eric Gagne), only to give the lead right back in the top of the 10th. In the bottom of the frame, David Riske (yes, that David Riske) came in and mowed down the Cubs in order to end the game.

Amazing, isn't it? I wonder how many times that's happened at Wrigley. It happened when I went there in 2006 - the Cubs rallied for 4 in the 9th, only to lose the game in 12 innings.

It's nice to have baseball back.

Guys,

In case you were wondering, I've been picked up by the Kalamazoo Kings of the Frontier League to do their radio in 2008. Best of luck to all of you and to the Navigators in 2008.
