Game Four - Spirit lead series 2-1

OK, it's (FINALLY) gametime for the Spirit vs. Les Capitales. Morse looking to slam the door and push the Spirit into a rematch with the Rox for the title.

I have a meeting at 6:30 and will be anxiously away from my radio between then and..whenever it's over (hopefully not after 7:30)... so anyone who's here can feel free to continue to post updates and keep me up to date. I'll be around 'til then.

GO SPIRIT!

PS What did you think of the Pats game?

I'm so nervous about this game..BAAAAAAAAAAAGHHH!!

As for the Pats, it was an exciting game, but they pretty much showed that their passing game is disgustingly mediocre this year. Defense had a good (no, great) 2nd half but they were iffy in the first.

OK Mid 1st, nothing going for the Spirit -- some technical difficulties on the broadcast.

It's nil-nil in the bottom of the 2nd.

Davilla 1-out double gives the Spirit a runner in scoring position....

Now Quebec has a RISP threat against Morse...

woo! I get WiFi down here, I'll be able to check in for a few more minutes..

We go to the 6th inning STILL scoreless. JC Huguet and Bryan Morse have been moving this one along.

The Spirit started to get to Huguet a little in the 5th as they left 'em loaded-- let's see if they can't break this deadlock here in the top of the 6th.

C'MON SPIRIT!
PUNCH YOUR TICKET TO BROCKTON!
FUN IS GOOD!!!

BTW, anyone else hear the Quebec fans BOOING when Davilla got up and walked to first base after being hit by a pitch?

I can be pretty scummy and mean toward opposing players, but I always clap for a guy when they get hurt and get up.

SHIT it's 4-2 Quebec now in the 8th...

6 outs to get 2 runs.. cmon..... ugh this is too much

games a final, going to game five.

Stunning....

It's amazing how the playoffs are a great equalizer... how we can truck everyone all year, includiing Quebec at their place just last week.. and now have our whole season come down to one game.

The playoffs also bring out your weaknesses. This offense isn't as good as one would expect for a team with such an amazing win %. That's starting to show now...

If the Spirit lose tomorrow, the group that has carved itself out as perhaps the best in league history will instead be remembered as the biggest chokers in team history. (2004 losing after going up 2-0 wasn't a choke, really-- we were really lucky to even be in the finals, let alone win any games. Our team was decimated by that point)

Way too many K's against no-names. Once again, only one leadoff hit (Rowan's HR). We can complain about the missed call (Tomlinson's "HBP" may have been a foul tip) or that Quebec gets HFA for Game 5, but the bottom line is: We're not getting it done on offense. After how Quebec handled Bishop in Game 2, I'd like to see Kennedy make a "game time" decision and put in McNamara or Smith at the last second.

No, no

The team hasn't had to bounce back all year.
